How to use Audio Pitch Changer
- Choose a local audio file up to 100 MB and 15 minutes. MP3 and WAV are good starting formats.
- Choose a shift from −12 to +12 semitones and select WAV or MP3 output.
- Process the audio, listen to the preview and download the result.
When this helps
Rehearse a song higher or lower, explore another vocal range, or compare an octave shift. A positive value raises pitch; a negative value lowers it. Twelve semitones equal one octave.
What to know before you start
Audio is decoded and re-encoded locally. Duration is approximately preserved; extreme shifts can introduce artifacts. Browser decoding and available memory limit supported input. The first run downloads a media engine.
Frequently asked questions
Does changing pitch change tempo?
The tool compensates for the speed change to keep approximately the original duration. Small encoder and processing differences can remain.
Is the original recording changed?
No. It creates a new MP3 or WAV download and leaves the original file untouched.
Is pitch shifting lossless?
No. Pitch shifting changes the signal, and MP3 adds lossy encoding. Preview the result, especially after large shifts.
